Our Friend Seymour

Seymour was born from a need to reveal neurodivergent coping strategies. This anthropomorphic animation details Seymour’s significant and heroic struggle to enjoy a beach outing. To a casual observer this neurodivergent cat-at-the-beach-in-swim-goggles might evoke a fish-out-of-water scenario. Goggles for Seymour function as a transitional object — a security, to make their life tolerable in the face of the unknown. Seymour’s frantic search for their goggles is not nonsensical, the goggles help filter out the inundation of the neurotypical world.
